**Please have your child enter through the first-grade door no early than 7:50am.
Dismissal
*Children are dismissed out the First Grade door in the back of the school at 2:45pm (1:45pm on Wednesdays). Please pull up into the back parking lot to pick up your child. If you would like to meet them at the door, please park in the neighborhood and walk up to the door. Thanks so much for your understanding and cooperation!
The school day begins at 7:50am and ends at 2:45pm (1:45pm on Wednesdays). Our grade-level door is located at the back of the building, next door to the kindergarten. Homestead will begin school with a soft start. This means children will be allowed to enter the building through our first-grade door as they arrive at 7:50am (no earlier). For the safety of the children, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 7:50am, as there is no supervision before that time.
We encourage you to have your child at school on time each day as instruction begins at 7:55am. If you arrive after the second bell (8:00am) you must sign your child in at the front office, as the grade level doors will be locked.
**For the safety of your child and all children, adults are not allowed to enter the building through the first-grade door. Please say goodbye to your child before they enter the doors. If for any reason you need to enter the building, we ask that you walk around to the school’s front door and properly check in at the front office.
Children will be dismissed at 2:45pm through the same door (1:45 pm on Wednesdays). A first-grade teacher will walk them out of the building and to the sidewalk. A crossing guard and a 1st Grade teacher will stay outside to make sure the children are safely on their way home.
In order for us to be sure everyone is accounted for, we ask that everyone stay off of the playground and playground equipment until 3:00pm. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
