Birthdays
In first grade, every child is celebrated in a special way in the classroom and will receive a special book from the PTCO. Students with summer birthdays will be celebrated in May or on their half-birthday.
To help ensure the safety and inclusion of all students, please do not send birthday treats to school. Due to food allergies and sensitivities, we strive to celebrate birthdays in ways that allow every child to participate and feel included.
**An important word about party invitations**Our goal is to be mindful of and protect the feelings of all students. Therefore, we ask that you do not send or distribute party invitations at school unless every student in the class is invited.
Classmates' addresses can be found in the Homestead Buzz Book, our school directory. Watch for a PTCO permission form, which provides the opportunity to include your family's contact information and purchase a Buzz Book.
